Our understanding of sustainability

What does sustainable investment mean? Environmentally sound? As green as possible? Ethically correct? In the simplest terms, one could say it means “responsibility”. Responsibility towards people, the environment, and the economy.

In practice, for us it means acting with particular prudence and taking non-financial criteria into consideration. Consequently, sustainability means more than just avoiding certain undesirable business practices, production processes or sectors. It means that we also have to take into account ethical criteria in our business decisions.

Sustainable development is “development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs”.
